2.Why Transformer Oil Filtration is Required?
Transformer plays an important role in the generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy. Transformer oil is the main insulation and cooling medium of oil-immersed transformers. Its dielectric strength and chemical composition directly affect the performance of the transformer.
Due to the highly hygroscopic nature of the transformer oil, it absorbs moisture from windings, which leads to gradual deterioration of dielectric strength. Also there are some waste impurities, gas contents in the transformer oil which destroy the oil's quality. And the oil is in contact with oxygen, it is easy to oxidize and deteriorate at high temperatures. Therefore, the transformer oil filtration machine should be carried out when the transformer is installed.
In order to prevent the deterioration of the oil quality and the impact on the safe operation, the oil samples for normal operation should be tested and analyzed regularly and periodically, and the oil should be processed and filtered according to the analysis results. The inspection cycle of oil chemical supervision for distribution operation is specified to be at least once every two years.
Note: ZYD series transformer oil purifier needs to circulate handling the transformer oil for about 2-3 times to get a higher quality final oil. It is necessary to circulate running the machine. The circulating running is for heating the transformer oil, and it is necessary to remove small water from transformer oil. The small water will be removed according to its heating and vacuum system. All the one-time or one circle running to get final transformer oil is not reasonable.
