Transformer oil is the main insulation and cooling medium of oil-immersed transformers. lt's dielectric strength & chemical composition directly affect the performance of the transformer.Due to the highly hygroscopic nature of the transformer oil, it absorbs moisture from windings, which leads to gradual deterioration of dielectric strength. Also there are some waste impurities.gas contents in the transformer oil which destroy the oil's quality. And the oil is in contact with oxygen, it is easy to oxidize and deteriorate at high temperatures. Therefore, the transformer oil filtration should be carried out when the transformer is installed.
